During an academic and sporting competition, the principal/headmaster of a prestigious preparatory school and his students peer-pressure Roland, their top student, into unleashing the supernatural energy in his amulet he gained from a field trip, using his status as an outcast in the school and desire of knowledge of how this 'energy' works to convince him, along with telling him that, since other schools have probably used it already, they should do so too.
